This holistic approach provides Veterans and First Responders an opportunity to rebuild their ability to connect with themselves and others, learn self-acceptance and establish and/or regain a sense of self worth and purpose.  Come ride with us, while professionals at Horses of Warriors guide you on an amazing adventure on horseback.

What is Equine Therapeutic Horsemanship?

  • A unique therapeutic approach using horses as catalysts for emotional growth and learning.
  • Horses have shown to be effective in treating those who suffer from PTSD, depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, conduct disorders and other chronic mental illnesses.

What are the benefits of Equine Therapeutic Horsemanship?

  • A somatic, tactile understanding, beyond intellectual awareness.
  • An opportunity to identify patterns and reexamine their usefulness.
  • A nonthreatening environment to try out new behaviors and receive instant feedback.
